Introduction

As part of our client’s Development & Engineering department, we are recruiting for Software Engineers who will develop and create software solutions that are instrumental to have their lithographic machines operating in a very productive manner while maintaining nanometer accuracy.

Since software is an integrating competency, it is an essential added value for them. You will be involved at all stages of the software development process: specifying, designing, testing and integrating the advanced software for use in their world-leading products.

We`re only looking for candidates living in Europe (UK/Ireland) who speak fluently English and are willing to relocate to the Eindhoven area.

Job Description

You will be responsible for creating clear specifications on requirements, making the efficient design choices, to ‘make it happen’ by also implementing the design and verify the implementation. Next to this, you will be responsible for providing effort estimates for the work at hand and identify dependencies on others. The software you will deliver will be documented and qualified by means of automated test cases. Customer satisfaction is the number one driver for them and thus it is the main motivator for every software engineer.

Education

• MSc. or BSc. education level
• Computer Science, Physics, Electronics, Mechanics, Mathematics or comparable

Experience

We are recruiting for several Senior (>5 years’ relevant experience), Medior (>3 years’ relevant experience) and Junior Design Engineers (>1 year or relevant experience) to join our client existing teams from the Development & Engineering department.

General technical requirements:

• Experienced in C, C++, C#/.NET, Shell scripting, object-oriented programming, Unix/Linux, Solaris, Python and software configuration management (ClearCase, SVN or GIT).
• Network knowledge: TCP/IP, Valgrind, WireShark, UBOOT, BOOTP, NFS, NTP, DNS, TFTP, ATCA
• VxWorks kernel configuration & development.
• WindRiver Linux development & kernel configuration.
• PowerPC, PCI, VME, assembly.
• Experienced in working in (agile) team environment.
• Experience in the high-tech industry and/or in factory automation is a plus.
• Experience with SECS, EDA and EDI or familiar experience in other industries is also a plus.
