Synthesizing new types of perovskite absorber layers, researching novel charge transport layers, and developing scalable production processes. The goal of this new project is to conduct the materials research necessary to enable the large-scale fabrication of all-perovskite tandem solar cells by roll-to-roll manufacturing. The research will be conducted in collaboration with the University of Amsterdam and industrial partners directly from the start. These collaborations will ensure research results with an emphasis on environmentally friendly fabrication processes, scalable manufacturing, and techno-economic feasibility. Qualifications
- You have a master’s degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
- You have very strong social, organizational, and communication skills.
- You like to work both independently and in a collaborative team.
Terms of employment
The position is intended as full-time (40 hours / week, 12 months / year) appointment in the service of the Netherlands Foundation of Scientific Research Institutes (NWO-I) for the duration of four years, with a starting salary of gross € 2,441 per month and a range of employment benefits. After successful completion of the PhD research a PhD degree will be granted at Dutch Unversity. Several courses are offered, specially developed for PhD-students. AMOLF assists any new foreign PhD-student with housing and visa applications and compensates their transport costs and furnishing expenses.
